Thank you for coming down to Miami for my big 40th birthday! I am so excited to share my favorite place on earth with you.

Please note the weekend of my bday is also the MIAMI INTERNATIONAL BOAT SHOW. Please check out the info here re: traffic in case you are considering moving on and off south beach - traffic can be a nightmare but there is a water taxi.

Twist will not have food because catering inside a gay club feels illegal. I will be at the 11th St Diner next door which has a huge menu and cranking AC. The back room has an amazing mural! I did not rent this out or anything but there is usually plenty of seating.

Getting Here & Around
How do I get from the airport?
Take an Uber it's like 15-45 minutes (traffic could be intense because of the boat show).
Should I rent a car?
No you don't need it unless you're staying for longer or want to leave my birthday premises. Parking on South Beach absolutely sucks.
How do I get around?
WALK! You can do Citibike as well. The Citibike app here is not the same as NYC (stupid) but the stations all have consoles with touch screens where you can get a bike. I love biking.
I live in Miami but don't have parking for the beach
MESSAGE the 'ask a local' channel— between a few of us we are able to get you up to a 72h guest permit almost anywhere on South Beach. Please specify what neighborhood you want to park in since we each have coverage for diff zones. You don't have to understand what any of this means just msg the locals channel.
What to Wear & Bring
What's the dress code?
The dress code is "Nowhere to wear it..." it means wear anything in your closet you've wanted to wear but haven't had the opportunity to. You can also just go comfortable (my MO). But also please feel free to upstage me. Go big.
I don't know what to wear!
Join the WhatsApp group called "is this OK to wear?!" in the main party community and send your pics there for analysis by real life fashion experts.
What should I bring?
Please refer to the packing list which should be hovering somewhere on your screen.
What should I bring to Miami in February?
Weather is 70s/80s. Temp doesn't usually drop at night. Basically perfect. Check the weather though bc sometimes there are cold snaps.
Food & Drink
What are the big banger food spots on South Beach?
Joe's Stone Crab (crab cakes), Sandwicherie (SoBe Club, scooped, extra sauce), Puerto Sagua (oxtail), The Joyce (the burger), La Leggenda (mistica).
Where should I get breakfast?
Go to Sunset Harbour and go to True Loaf or Maman they are both banging. True Loaf has no seating but the PB&J goes crazy. There is also a Maman south of 5th St which is gorgeous and chic. News Cafe is where Versace used to go eat breakfast every morning! It's mid but historic.
Where can I get a good coffee?
Las Olas has an amazing cortadito and the best chicken empanada you have ever had in your life. Caffe Umbria on West Ave is decent. Also check out Maman (one in Sunset Harbor and one south of fifth). Otherwise unfortunately South Beach is not amazing for coffee. You know me I go to Starbucks. BREAKING: Sunshine Coffee on Washington was just recommended to me as a must-try. I don't drink coffee so I can't verify any of this but it does look v cute.
Is Pura Vida good?
Not really. It's not even that healthy.
Is the Versace Mansion good food?
No. Only dessert.
Help I am so hungover
Go get a big smoothie at Sunlife on Alton (not actually healthy but very satisfying), or go to the hot bar at Meridian Market on 6th to get a plate of oxtail and rice.
I need a vegetable
There is a Whole Foods on Alton, and 'Under the Mango Tree' on 5th is cute and healthy.
Things to Do
I want to go to the beach
Anywhere up and down South Beach is nice! Don't pay for the $100 chaise/cabanas. Haulover is nude if you want to take a little Uber ride up north (not that far) to let it all hang out.
I want to shop
Designer stuff is concentrated in the Design District on the mainland but there are 100 slutty little boutiques on South Beach where you can get bathing suits, dresses, hats that say IM IN MIAMI BITCH, etc. I honestly love them and recommend Grooveman Music at 1121 Washington Ave. Also check out Akira on Lincoln Road.
Are we doing like, anything healthy?
Yes, there is now a WhatsApp group for workouts. Some people will be going to pilates classes around the beach, there will be an Equinox crew, and there is always the famous, well-equipped, beautiful stunning MUSCLE BEACH for FREEEEE right on 9th and Ocean. Cannot recommend this option enough TBH.

PLEASE use the WhatsApp group for this! There is a main channel for everyone, 'ask a local' if you need reccos, and an out of towners chat for everyone else who is visiting. There are (unpaid) volunteers who will be making sure everyone is having the time of their life so you will not get crickets if you use the WhatsApp group I promise. The whole point is for everyone to meet everyone and leave bff. Don't be shy.
Practical Stuff
Where can I get cigs?
I'll have 10 packs of Camel Crush stored in all my utility bags and sportswear but if you need em or a vape (grow up!) you can buy them at the spots on Washington + 9th, or all along 11th St between Washington and Ocean Drive. It's Florida these places are literally everywhere.
I need (insert literally anything)
The Walgreens and CVS' along 5th St and on Washington are some of the world's finest - you can get everything from snorkeling gear to hard-to-find UTI meds at most of them. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.
I am injured/sick
Baptist Urgent Care is close by and very nice - 709 Alton Rd. I am also a certified doctor if you need medical help.
